Driftwood to Release Their First Lager


– COMING JUNE 9TH 2014 –

Driftwood’s first lager!

Brewed entirely with luscious barley grown and malted on the Saanich Peninsula by artisan Maltster Mike Doehnel, and so named in his honour.

This dry, snappy North German-style Pils was lagered for 6 weeks and hopped generously.


*Once released, this beer will be available at private liquor stores in BC while supplies last.

Oddly, I’m currently homebrewing with some of Mike Doehnel’s malt. #27. It’s also going to be my first lager. Tres bizarre.

Trou du Diable CEO giving talk tomorrow at Clive’s

I guess this qualifies as a Victoria beer event. The CEO of Le Trou du Diable, Issac Tremblay, will be hosting a beer tasting and lecture at Clive’s Classic Lounge tomorrow.
