Hermannator is back again for its 26th year.
A recent Gold Medal Winner and Best of Show at the BC Brewing Awards brewmaster Ralf Pitroff credits Hermannator’s quality ingredients and unique brewing tradition as recipe’s for this beers success.
“What makes this beer so unique is that it takes 3 months to brew and mature from start to finish. Because the brewing process is so intensive and complex, there are few beers like it in Canada. Using a signature blend of chocolate and caramel malts creates a dark chestnut coloured beer with a full body and rich malt flavour.”
Mix and pat, and bake in a pan, get this gingerbread ale while you can. Dough Head mixes the best of brewing and baking to create a beer with a touch of spice that is balanced with a malty sweetness. So instead of a trail of breadcrumbs through the dark forest, follow this delicious treat for a pint of perfection!
When you think of the holidays and times spent with loved ones, sweets and treats seem to find their way into the picture. With that holiday inspiration in mind the brew crew at Vancouver Island Brewery set out to brew a beer that brings the best flavours of the season into a unique beer perfect for the holidays.
Yeah, it’s time to break out the Christmas sweater, stoke up the fire, kick back with friends and enjoy a tasty pint of Dough Head. Here’s to the holidays and the fine beers that make them possible!
